Job Summary:
The IT Technician I is an entry-level role that involves providing Tier 1 support, addressing basic technical issues, and assisting users with their IT needs. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of Windows OS, basic networking concepts, and excellent customer service skills. The position will reside at the Livermore location Monday - Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Travel to the Madera facility will be every other week and will require an 8 hour day at that location.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide Tier 1 support for initial IT issues, assisting users with troubleshooting and basic technical inquiries.

Manage incoming support tickets, ensuring timely and effective responses to user requests.

Document and track support tickets with detailed notes on user interactions and resolutions.

Assist in resolving common technical problems related to Windows OS, software applications, and hardware.

Collaborate with Tier 2 support staff to escalate issues that require advanced troubleshooting.

Help maintain IT support documentation and contribute to the knowledge base.

Provide basic training and support to end-users on software applications and IT policies.

Participate in team meetings to share knowledge and improve service delivery.
Qualifications:

0-2 years of experience in an IT help desk or customer support role.

Basic proficiency in Windows OS and its troubleshooting.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:

Part-time position based in Livermore with travel every other week to the Madera facility.

On-call availability as needed.

The candidate must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
