We are seeking a Lodging Associate to join our dynamic team Thursday-Sundays! As part of the lodging team, the Lodging Associate ensures that guests receive gracious hospitality while surpassing their expectations by providing unique experiences during their stay.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists guests during check-in and check-out.
- Ensures that guests are comfortable and taken care of throughout their stay.
- Prepares breakfast service and assists with clean up.
- Maintains and orders supplies as needed.
- Plans, coordinates, and hosts Welcome receptions.
- Performs administrative duties including, but not limited to, answering email and phone inquiries, managing reservations, and preparing monthly reports.
- Fosters teamwork by working and communicating with others in a collaborative and respectful way.
- Creates draft content for newsletters, notification emails, promotions etc.; verify that promotional information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Maintains the Inn’s social media presence.
- Offers concierge services to guests, coordinating wine tasting reservations, dinner reservations, etc.
- Coordinates with maintenance vendors and in-house maintenance to ensure property systems, appliances, and regular maintenance is taken care of.
- Shares appropriate information, educates guests, and promotes WAW Wineries, Events, and VIP tour service to guests.
- Ensures property and grounds are well maintained and reports hazards or maintenance issues to the Inn Manager.
- Performs regular outreach activities to promote the property.
- Performs basic housekeeping duties such as wiping and sanitizing counters and tabletops, setting and clearing tables, washing and polishing glassware, as needed.
- Stays in continuous communication with Housekeeping Manager to ensure that housekeeping standards are met.
- Runs errands as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to speak clearly and confidently with guests.
- Acute attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong culinary skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple projects; excellent follow-up and follow through.
- Able to work extended hours, holidays, and special events as needed.
- Strong interpersonal awareness; able to maintain excellent working relationships with co-workers, guests, vendors, and community members.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must hold and maintain a current Responsible Beverage Server certification or obtain within 60 days of employment.
- Must hold and maintain a current Food Handler certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment.
- Must have a valid, class C driver’s license, a reliable, insured method of transportation, and an acceptable driving record.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Three or more years of related experience or a combination of experience, education, and training.
Language Skills:
- Fully proficient in the English language. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as emails, safety rules, recipes, operating/maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc..
- Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in both written and verbal formats.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Computer Skills:
- Intermediate or advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
- Inn Reservation Key experience preferred.

The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel and crouch, climb stairs, and stand on a step stool.
