American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with strong orthopedic surgical skills for a travel assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level 3 trauma teaching hospital in Minnesota.

Work setting is an acute care hospital Operating Room with 317 staffed beds
-
Primary focus is orthopedic surgery cases, with general surgery as a secondary specialty
-
5x8 shifts with variable start times: 0645, 0900, 1100, or 1445
-
Day shift hours: 6:45 AM–3:15 PM; Evening shift hours: 2:45 PM–11:15 PM
-
Weekend work required on an as-needed basis

On-call required on an as-needed basis
-
Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities

Charting system is Epic (Excellian); experience required

Scrubs are provided by the facility
-
Active MN RN license required (pending license accepted)

Current BLS certification required
-
Minimum 1 year of OR experience required

Strong orthopedic surgery experience required
-
Epic (Excellian) EMR experience required

1 supervisor reference required for consideration

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

RTO requests are limited to no more than 5 days for the duration of the contract

Candidates who have previously worked at this health system as permanent staff or per diem must have been gone for at least 3 months since their last shift worked

Pre-start online modules are required to be completed before the first day of the assignment

Holiday coverage expectations apply as scheduled
