Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of print production, from prepress to final output, ensuring projects meet quality standards and deadlines.
- Oversee the setup and operation of printing equipment such as flexo presses, CNC machines, and screen printing stations.
- Implement and maintain color management protocols to ensure color accuracy across all printed materials.
- Collaborate with graphic designers to review layouts, typography, and layout design for optimal print readiness using Adobe Creative Suite tools.
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout the production process to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Supervise manufacturing processes, including machining and finishing operations, to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Train and mentor team members in print techniques, safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and best practices in print advertising production.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to forklift operation, CNC machinery, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Develop workflows that incorporate prepress procedures such as color correction, layout adjustments, and file preparation for various printing methods.
- Maintain detailed records of production schedules, equipment maintenance logs, and quality assurance reports to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in print production management within a high-volume manufacturing or commercial printing environment.
- Strong knowledge of screen printing, flexo press operation, CNC machining, and finishing techniques.
- Expertise in prepress processes including layout design, typography, color management, and Adobe Creative Suite proficiency.
- Familiarity with quality control standards specific to print advertising and packaging industries.
- Ability to operate or supervise the use of forklifts safely within a manufacturing setting.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing workflows involving machining processes and safety protocols.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train teams effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple projects simultaneously.
