Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service in both retail and café settings
- Prepare and serve food and drinks - including alcohol (beer & wine). Operating the coffee machine and ovens, following food safety standards and recipes
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cashiering duties with precision using POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling and food preparation tasks
- Learn and retain product knowledge to help customers find the perfect board game or product.
- Assist customers with product selections, answer questions about menu items or retail products, and promote sales opportunities
Qualifications
- Proficiency with computers and software programs (POS, scheduling programs, calendars, etc)
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction balancing
Preferred Qualifications
- Retail Sales Experience: Previous experience in a retail setting with a focus on up-selling or consultative sales is a huge plus.
- Social Media & Marketing: Familiarity with creating content or engaging with communities on social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) to help promote our events and brand.
- Previous kitchen, barista, or waitstaff experience.
- ServSafe certification and/or TIPS certification
