Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities to ensure a welcoming environment
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces
- Handle laundry duties efficiently by washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels according to hotel standards
- Restock supplies like toiletries, towels, and minibar items to ensure guest needs are met promptly
- Report maintenance issues or damages discovered during cleaning to the appropriate department for swift resolution
- Follow safety protocols and proper cleaning procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans of designated areas as needed to uphold hygiene standards
Experience
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles is highly preferred; experience in industrial or custodial cleaning is also valuable
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care—such as carpet cleaning and floor polishing—is advantageous
- Familiarity with hospitality environments and customer service principles enhances your ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness in a fast-paced setting
- Experience with housekeeping management or supervising cleaning staff is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
