This is a Leadership role, without beside burnout. You will shape the culture of learning, safety and mentor RN's and CNA's with supportive leadership that values collaboration. You will work closely with the DON and ADON on making a facility-wide impact on quality and outcomes in a stable Skilled Nursing facility with long-term residents and staff.
Duties & Responsibilities - We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Staff Development Coordinator / Infection Preventionist Licsened Nurse to join our healthcare team. This vital role combines staff education, professional development, and infection prevention strategies to promote excellence in patient care and uphold the highest standards of safety. As a key leader in fostering a culture of continuous learning and infection control, you will drive initiatives that enhance staff competency and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Your expertise will empower our team to deliver compassionate, safe, and effective care across diverse clinical settings.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive training programs for clinical staff to ensure adherence to best practices in patient care, infection prevention, and safety protocols.
- Conduct ongoing education sessions on topics such as physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and medical documentation to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
- Lead infection prevention efforts by monitoring compliance with infection control policies, investigating outbreaks, and recommending corrective actions.
- Perform regular audits of medical records and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design tailored training modules for specialized units such as Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care.
- Serve as a resource for staff regarding infection control procedures, medical records management, and patient care best practices.
- Maintain detailed records of training activities, infection rates, incident reports, and compliance metrics to support quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements / Experience
- A minimum of 1 year experience in infection control and/or nurse education.
- Valid (LPN)(RN) license with current certification in infection prevention or the ability to obtain certification within designated timeframes.
- Demonstrated expertise in patient care across diverse populations such as skilled nursing and long-term care. Skilled Nursing experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of PointClickCare, medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and medical documentation standards.
- Proven experience in training & development or adult education with the ability to effectively teach complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with medical records management systems and healthcare compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team collaboration.
- Demonstrated professionalism and organizational skills.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
