As Talent Acquisition Specialist you will:
- Partner with hiring managers to attract, screen, interview, and hire top talent.
- Manage job requisitions, postings, and candidate pipelines within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Conduct candidate pre-screens, assessments, reference checks, and employment verifications.
- Lead regular recruiting meetings and provide guidance on interview best practices and selection tools.
- Prepare and deliver employment offers, sign-on bonus approvals, and internal job change coordination.
- Maintain accurate recruiting records, dashboards, metrics, and position control documentation.
- Represent the organization at job fairs, networking events, and other talent acquisition activities.
- Promote a positive candidate experience while serving as an ambassador for the company’s culture and values.
- Manage pre-employment processes, including background checks, drug screenings, and I-9 compliance.
- Coordinate onboarding activities, new hire orientation, HRIS setup, and first-day readiness.
- Administer employee badge programs and new hire milestone recognition initiatives.
- Support general HR operations, special projects, and departmental initiatives as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance quality of hire, time to fill, onboarding effectiveness, and employee retention.
Reports to: Talent Acquisition Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience in all phases of recruitment or talent acquisition to include sourcing candidates, interviewing and selection, checking references in compliance with applicable employment laws.
- Solid competency with Microsoft programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Familiarity with ATS software and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Paycor)
- Experience with virtual collaboration tools (MS Teams, Zoom)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be extremely perceptive and capable of relating to individuals at all levels
- SHRM-SCP and or SPHR preferred
