Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Counter Staff to join our team in a casual dining environment. Hourly wage PLUS TIPS!!!
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS,
MULTIPLE DAYS/EVENINGS PER WEEK!
The ideal candidate will possess excellent guest service skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. As Server/Counter staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout their visit. In addition to hourly compensation, you will also receive customer tips.
DAY SHIFT position beginning at approximately 10:30am until 4:00pm.
EVENING SHIFT position beginning at approximately 4:00pm - close (9:00pm-10:00pm)
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide them with menus.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly to tables while ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Assist with food preparation as needed and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area.
- Buss tables efficiently to ensure a clean dining environment for guests.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of food.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
- Manage time effectively to ensure all guests receive prompt service.
- Balance a cash drawer utilizing POS reports.
- Perform end of shift duties, including, but not limited to: restocking wait station items, folding pizza boxes, general cleaning of dining & work areas.
Requirements
- Previous experience in restaurant setting is preferred.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately.
- Familiarity with POS systems is an advantage.
- Strong guest service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques is a plus.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift trays or items as needed.
