Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Facilities Director to lead and oversee all aspects of facilities management within our organization. This pivotal role involves managing maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing the functionality of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. The Facilities Director will drive continuous improvement initiatives, supervise maintenance teams, and implement effective project management strategies to maintain a safe, efficient, and sustainable environment for all employees and visitors. Duties
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of facilities maintenance activities across all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage facilities maintenance teams by supervising technicians and contractors, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing team.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations by developing safety protocols, conducting regular safety audits, and promoting a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization.
- Troubleshoot engineering issues related to mechanical systems repair, electrical systems troubleshooting (including high voltage and low voltage), and industrial maintenance challenges using schematics, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Develop and manage budgets for facilities operations while identifying opportunities for cost savings through efficient resource management.
- Coordinate large-scale projects involving facility upgrades or renovations by applying project management principles from planning through execution.
- Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, safety inspections, schematics diagrams, and compliance records to ensure regulatory adherence.
Experience
- Proven management experience in facilities management or industrial maintenance roles with a strong background in supervising teams.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems repair—including HVAC systems repair—and electrical systems troubleshooting involving high voltage and low voltage components.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and best practices for maintaining safe work environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and communication purposes.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with teams and stakeholders on complex technical issues.
