Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ physical conditions through detailed evaluations, utilizing your knowledge of anatomy and physiology to guide treatment strategies.
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address individual patient needs across inpatient, outpatient, pediatric, geriatric, and home health settings.
- Administer therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, orthopedics-focused treatments, and physiotherapy techniques to promote healing and restore function.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning, ensuring seamless transitions from hospital to home or community care.
- Document patient progress accurately using electronic medical records (EMR systems), maintaining detailed records of treatments provided and patient responses.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and injury prevention strategies tailored to their specific conditions.
- Stay current with medical terminology updates, treatment protocols, and industry best practices to deliver high-quality care consistently.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology essential for accurate assessment and treatment planning.
- Proven experience in acute care environments such as hospitals or inpatient units with the ability to adapt quickly to different clinical settings.
- Expertise in outpatient clinics, home & community care environments, pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, and sports-related physiotherapy.
- Proficiency with EMR systems for documentation and patient management.
- Skilled in discharge planning processes that facilitate smooth patient transitions across care settings.
- Familiarity with trigger point therapy techniques and orthopedic rehabilitation methods.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to diverse populations including pediatric and geriatric patients.
