Job Summary
We're seeking a dedicated EMT-B to join our emergency response team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in providing basic life support, assessing patient conditions, and working collaboratively with paramedics, dispatchers, and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide basic medical care
- Assess patient conditions and determine appropriate treatment
- Administer CPR, oxygen, and other basic life support procedures
- Safely transport patients to medical facilities
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, hospitals, and team members
- Maintain equipment, vehicles, and supplies in ready condition
- Document patient care and complete reports accurately
Qualifications
- Current EMT-B certification (state and national)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- CPR certification (AHA or equivalent)
- Physical ability to lift, carry, maneuver patients and equipment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm under pressure and quick decision-making ability
Preferred Skills
- Experience in emergency medical services or related field
- Familiarity with local geography and EMS protocols
- Bilingual (Spanish, etc.) a plus
