We are seeking full time Intermodal drivers 1st. shift and 2nd. shift 5:30pm-5:30 am with Hazmat indorsement encouraged to apply and join our team. The ideal candidates must have experience in commercial driving Minimum 3 years, and familiar with all chicago land rail yards, a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. This role involves transporting containers from rails to customers Local and regional, while ensuring timely delivery and adherence to all traffic regulations. The Truck Driver will operate tractor-trailers, 20,40,53ft container trailers and dry van. They MUST have minimum 3 years intermodal and driving experience. Drivers are getting avg. 15 or more O/T hours per week, Set start times, Home every day, New equipment 2025-2026 automatic transmission, Multipal terminals for parking. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor with 20-40-53 intermodal trailers and drive to various customers locally and regional.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely delivery of freight.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws while driving.
Qualifications
Must know locations of all Chicago Rails and Depots
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required Minimum 3 years.
- Proven 3 years experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of manual transmission operation.
- Must have clean driving record and Hazmat endorsement.
- Must not have had any accidents in the past 5 years.
- Familiarity with Intermodal railyard operations and route driving is preferred.
- Ability to navigate using GPS systems and maps effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with team members and clients.
- A commitment to safety practices and procedures in all driving activities.

Pay: $27.00 - $28.00 per hour
