Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Automotive Parts Manager to oversee the parts department within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring timely procurement of parts, and maintaining efficient order management processes. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to ensure the smooth operation of our supply chain.
Duties
- Manage inventory levels and ensure the availability of parts for dealership service department and counter customers.
- Utilize an order management system to track parts orders, shipments, and deliveries.
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Procure parts from OEM suppliers while maintaining strong relationships with vendors.
- Train and supervise staff on best practices for inventory management and order processing.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations while operating equipment as necessary.
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and optimize supply chain efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in automotive dealership parts management or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with supply chain processes and order management systems is essential.
- Experience with data entry, shipping, receiving, and inventory control is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Stellantis Dealer Connect is a plus.
- Proficiency in using Dealertrack DMS or similar software systems is beneficial.
