Assistant Property Manager

Summary/Objective: The Assistant Property Manager supports the day-to-day operations of a community that accepts Tax Credit, Portable Vouchers, and Rent Stabilized housing programs. This role works directly with residents on matters such as rent collections, lease administration, and resolving resident concerns, while helping ensure compliance with program requirements. The position also assists with maintaining the property by conducting regular visual inspections and coordinating with the maintenance team to ensure work orders and property needs are addressed in a timely manner.

Essential function/Responsibilities: duties include but are not limited to the following
- Conducting daily arrears collections, including resident visit follow-ups as needed
- Overseeing the resident move-in and move-out process
- Inspecting all units prior to move-ins and after all move-outs
- Working in conjunction with maintenance staff on the administration of work order requests
- Assisting the PM with conducting annual unit inspections to ensure compliance with Tax Credit Regulatory standards
- Ensuring on-time collection and completion of all annual resident certifications
- Processing new move-in packages
- Preparing Section 8 packages for reviewing supervisor
Requirements:
- High School diploma OR GED; Some college, preferred
- Minimum 2 years? experience in the field of Property Management, including experience with Section 8
- Previous supervisory experience, a plus
- Familiarity with affordable housing
- Experience managing maintenance staff, a plus
- Understanding of annual certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
- Yardi software experience a plus
- Experience working with unions is a plus
Pay Range: $21.00 - $24.00
