Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part Time Cleaner to join our dynamic facilities team. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers
- Handle chemical agents safely while following all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without hazards
- Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal across designated spaces
- Conduct routine inspections to identify areas needing special attention or maintenance issues requiring escalation
- Use custodial tools and cleaning equipment efficiently, including floor care machines and industrial cleaning tools
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting and manual handling tasks to prevent injuries
- Support facilities maintenance activities as needed, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, safety procedures, and proper handling techniques is highly desirable
- Experience operating floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other cleaning equipment is advantageous
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices for maintaining hygiene in high-traffic environments
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safety protocols consistently
- Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with clients or building occupants during routine cleaning tasks
