The Mixer Cleaner is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining industrial mixing equipment and associated production areas to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing operations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality, preventing cross-contamination, and supporting production schedules within a chemical manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize mixing tanks, vessels, agitators, and related equipment according to established procedures
Disassemble and reassemble mixing equipment as required for thorough cleaning
Remove chemical residues, debris, and buildup using appropriate tools and cleaning agents
Follow all safety protocols when handling chemicals, cleaning solutions, and equipment
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards
Maintain cleanliness of production floors, work areas, and surrounding equipment
Dispose of chemical waste and cleaning materials in accordance with environmental regulations
Inspect equipment for damage or wear and report maintenance needs to supervisors
Assist production team with equipment setup and changeovers when needed
Maintain accurate cleaning logs and documentation

Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Basic understanding of safety practices in an industrial or chemical environment
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in confined spaces
Preferred:
Prior experience in a manufacturing or chemical plant environment
Experience with industrial cleaning or sanitation processes
Knowledge of chemical handling and hazard communication (HAZCOM)
