Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal administrative support across multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, civil litigation, and more.
- Assist with legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other case management systems to gather pertinent information for case preparation.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, contracts, memos, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.
- Manage case files and document review processes utilizing document management systems like iManage and PCLaw to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
- Conduct client interviews and facilitate communication between clients and attorneys to gather essential case information efficiently.
- Support project management efforts by coordinating deadlines, court filings, and procedural law requirements across various jurisdictions.
- Handle data entry, filing, and organization of legal documents while maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Assist with litigation support including civil litigation support tasks such as document review, trial preparation, and procedural compliance.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of prior experience in legal profession or legal office.
- Proven paralegal experience with a strong background in multiple legal disciplines such as estate planning, UCC law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, securities law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law, family law, general & commercial litigation.
- Demonstrated proficiency in legal research tools including Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with legal case management software like iManage and PCLaw is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; proofreading abilities are essential.
- Exceptional client communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette.
- Knowledge of procedural law requirements across different jurisdictions; experience supporting litigation processes is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with familiarity with document review platforms and data entry procedures.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while demonstrating meticulous attention to detail in all tasks.
