Job Title: RN – Med/Surg
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Job Type: Contract | 13 Weeks
Schedule: 3 Shifts Per Week
Shift Length: 12-Hour Shifts
Hours: 36 Hours Per Week
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) to provide high-quality Medical-Surgical nursing care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will have strong Med/Surg experience, excellent clinical assessment skills, and the ability to deliver safe, patient-centered care while collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Provide direct bedside nursing care to medical-surgical and post-operative patients
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Initiate and maintain IV therapy
- Perform wound care and infection control procedures
- Monitor vital signs and identify changes in patient condition
- Assist with discharge planning and patient education
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Adhere to facility policies, nursing standards, and patient safety protocols
Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
- Active New York State RN License required
- Primary Source Verification required
- Current AHA BLS Certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience in a large acute care hospital setting
- Most recent Med/Surg experience must be within the past year
- Strong physical assessment and patient monitoring skills
- Telemetry monitoring experience required
