At DOGPerfect, our Store Associates do more than support the store—they help run it. As a key holder, you’re trusted to open and close, guide the flow of the day, and create a seamless experience for every dog and pet parent who walks through our doors.
This role is for someone who is confident working independently, makes thoughtful decisions, and brings both warmth and accountability to everything they do.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
● Opening and/or closing the store, including cash handling and daily operations
● Creating a welcoming, knowledgeable experience for every customer
● Recommending products across nutrition, wellness, and enrichment with confidence
● Maintaining a clean, organized, and easy-to-shop environment
● Managing register transactions accurately and efficiently
● Supporting grooming check-ins, scheduling, and store flow
● Restocking inventory and maintaining visually appealing displays
● Helping execute in-store and community events
What We’re Looking For
● Previous retail experience required (1–2+ years preferred)
● Comfortable working independently and being responsible for store operations
● Reliable, punctual, and trusted to handle opening/closing shifts
● Strong communication skills with a natural ability to connect with people
● Detail-oriented with pride in maintaining an organized space
● Able to stay calm, focused, and proactive in a fast-paced environment
● Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
● Passion for dogs and an interest in learning about nutrition and wellness
