The SouthWest Metro Intermediate District #288 has openings for Special Education Teachers for the Extended School Year, at various programs across our district.

Description:
Educate, plan, teach, facilitate, and evaluate students.
Job Summary:
Provide support by working directly with students to increase their academic, social/behavioral, communication, and study skills under the direction of the teacher(s).
Locations, Dates & Times:
In addition to ESY Teachers working 6/22-7/16 they will also work 6/15-6/16 from 7:45am-12:45pm and one work day post summer programming (7/17 or 7/20 from 7:45am-12:45pm)

Qualifications:
-
EBD, DCD, ASD, or ABS license preferred (Open to Tier 2 License Eligible Candidates).

Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction.

Strong classroom management skills.

Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff.

Training in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) and Restrictive Procedures is required and provided by the District.

Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams.
Pay & Benefits:
The pay rate range for this position is $37.16-$68.91/hr. Current teachers will be paid their hourly teacher rate of pay provided they are performing services described in the Teacher contract. Benefits include: TRA (Pension Plan)
