The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Bethel, the regional hub and location of the only hospital in the region, has a population of nearly 7,000. Position Summary: This position assists and supports DSII and DSIII in the provision of services to families of children 0-3 in the YK Delta. This position helps in the administrations of eligibility testing within 45 days of a referral, assists with developmental assessments. This position organizes family contact, family follow up for relevant services. This position is a member of the ILP team and supports Napartet with value added ideas, patient centered excellence, and ILP standards of excellence. This position facilitates play group. Other administrative tasks will be incorporated into daily the work flow.
Position Qualifications:
Minimum Education: High School Diploma/AA prefer degree in early childhood, related field, or Child Development Associate (CDA) or (PAT) training.
Minimum Experience: Early childhood experience. Knowledge and willingness to learn and apply working knowledge of early childhood development. Experience with Special Needs children preferred.
Equipment: Computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, Power point, faxing, scanning, emailing.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Family Assessments, any behavioral, social language, developmental training. Prefer experience with Medicaid, Denali Kid Care, data systems and data entry.
