Job Title: Framer (Construction)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Framer to join our construction team. The Framer is responsible for building the structural framework of residential buildings including walls, floors, and roofs, using wood or metal studs according to blueprints and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood or metal framing materials
- Construct and install building frameworks, including walls, floors, and roof systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and building plans
- Install sheathing, subflooring, and structural supports
- Ensure structures are level, square, and properly aligned
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and framing equipment safely
- Follow all safety guidelines and building codes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Previous framing or carpentry experience preferred
- Ability to read and understand construction plans
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
Work Environment:
- Outdoor construction sites
- Physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, and standing for long periods
