Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver clinical training programs tailored to diverse healthcare environments, including nursing homes, hospitals, and home care settings.
- Conduct new staff orientation sessions and ongoing professional development workshops focused on critical care, pediatrics, adult education, and acute care practices.
- Ensure all training content aligns with current health regulation policies, HIPAA compliance standards, and state healthcare regulations.
- Serve as a clinical instructor and preceptor for nursing staff, guiding them through practical skills and theoretical knowledge in anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical documentation.
- Lead team-based training initiatives to foster leadership skills among clinical staff and promote best practices in patient care.
- Maintain detailed records of training activities, certifications earned, and staff progress in compliance with hospital policies and accreditation requirements.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to identify skill gaps and develop targeted educational strategies that support organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in critical care nursing or ICU settings with a strong understanding of acute care procedures.
- Prior nursing home experience or teaching hospital background is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical staff training, precepting, and adult education methodologies.
- Extensive knowledge of health regulation policies including HIPAA and state healthcare laws.
- Proficiency in medical documentation systems and Microsoft Office applications for record keeping and reporting purposes.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team development and training & development initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate learners at all levels of expertise.
- Valid nursing license with relevant certifications in pediatrics, physiology, anatomy, or related specialties preferred.
