At Work Zone Equipment, we specialize in custom vehicle upfitting for traffic safety equipment. We're a hands-on team that takes pride in producing quality work in a fast-paced, supportive environment. We're looking for a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our shop and grow with us.
Job Responsibilities:
- This is a fabrication-focused role — not production welding
- Fabricate parts, brackets, and accessories from various steel stock up to 1/4" thick
- Cut, fit, and weld steel components using MIG welding
- Use hand and power tools to grind, drill, and finish parts
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a fabricator/welder
- Proficient with MIG welding
- Experience with tools commonly used in fabrication shops (tape measure, squares, grinders, drills, drivers, cutting torches, hand tools, etc.)
- Must own and bring basic metal fabrication tools (grinders, drills, drivers, hand tools)
- Mechanical background with a basic understanding of how parts fit and function
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Team player who is open to giving and receiving constructive feedback to improve shop methods and processes
- Valid driver’s license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
