Overview
The Retail Experience Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining the look, feel, and performance of the VELA retail space — both in-store and online. This role blends creativity, organization, and sales-minded thinking to ensure every client’s shopping experience reflects the VELA brand.
Responsibilities
- Maintain retail inventory levels and coordinate restocks/refills (including Mangomint reminders)
- Track weekly sales and KPIs to identify trends and opportunities
- Support retail team with ongoing sales training and product knowledge refreshers
- Manage product merchandising, displays, and overall retail aesthetic
- Collaborate on product spotlights, brand partnerships, and seasonal features
- Oversee e-commerce listings and online inventory updates
- Ensure the retail space is always guest-ready — clean, inviting, and on-brand
Ideal Candidate:
- Detail-oriented with a strong eye for aesthetics and organization
- Enthusiastic about wellness, beauty, and retail environments
- Confident working independently and proactively improving systems
- Comfortable using digital tools (POS, inventory software, Mangomint, etc.)
- Previous experience in retail, spa, or boutique environments preferred
Skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Proven experience within a retail environment
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs, but not required
- Skilled in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and inventory management
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to handle phone inquiries professionally
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations and transaction accuracy
- Experience with product demos to engage customers effectively
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is advantageous
- Ability to lead a team, motivate staff, and foster a positive shopping atmosphere
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
