For over 40 years, Artic Air has been keeping Arizona’s commercial spaces cool, comfortable, and running efficiently. We’re a locally owned mechanical contractor known for our craftsmanship, integrity, and people who genuinely care about doing great work.
We partner with general contractors, building owners, and engineers to design, build, and service high-performing HVAC systems across commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and ongoing service contracts.
What You’ll Do
The Service Manager is responsible for running day-to-day service operations, ensuring efficient workflow, managing technicians, and maintaining exceptional customer communication. The Service Manager is the operational anchor of the department: part leader, part problem-solver, part communicator, and part process-keeper.

This position is not a field role. The successful candidate will be the operational anchor in the office, ensuring technicians, customers, and jobs stay on track.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of 5–9 HVAC service technicians.
- Ensure technicians follow safety, documentation, and service standards.
- Support troubleshooting through HVAC theory without needing to return to field work.
- The Service Manager is a proven leader and manager, excellent at advising, directing, and guiding.
Service Operations Management
- Monitor all active and upcoming jobs; prioritize workload and dispatch technicians accordingly.
- Ensure service calls, repairs, maintenance, and small projects run efficiently.
- Maintain the department’s pulse by always knowing what is open, pending, and about to close.
- The Service Manager is obsessed with excellence and is known for his or her follow through to completion.
Customer Service & Communication
- Communicate professionally and efficiently via phone, email, and text.
- Provide quotes, proposals, and updates to customers in a timely manner.
- Ensure a high-quality customer experience from start to finish.
- The Service Manager owns the department and as the owner, establishes excellence for customers as well as the company.
Administrative & Technical Oversight
- Manage documentation, proposals, purchase orders, and billing.
- Use Outlook, Excel, and service management software.
- Maintain inventory, supplies, and coordinate company vehicle repairs.
- The Service Manager is not stalled when presented with obstacles, instead, is a true problem solver, bringing solutions to completion.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of HVAC field experience with strong HVAC theory knowledge (A/C, electrical, refrigeration).
- EPA certification.
- Strong communication skills; written and verbal.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and service software.
- Leadership experience with proven ability to coach and motivate technicians.
- High multitasking capacity in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong follow-through, organization, attention to detail, and professionalism.
Education
- Previous HVAC supervisory or service management experience.
- Trade School or 2-year technical/communications education.
- Commercial HVAC experience.

Schedule
- Monday–Friday, generally 6:30 am–4:00 pm, North Phoenix location
- Must live in the Greater Phoenix Area
Compensation
- Salary: $75,000–$95,000 (paid weekly)
- Medical Insurance: Company pays 65% of employee's premium
- Dental, Vision, and Aflac (Life, STD, Cancer, Accident): Offered to Employees
- Retirement: 401(k) + Annual Profit Sharing (after 1 year/1,000 hours)
