Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Porter/Maintenance Worker to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and overall facility upkeep to ensure a welcoming and secure environment. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across all areas of the facility.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools to maintain floors and surfaces.
- Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning and sanitation processes, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Conduct light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting, and ensuring facilities are in good condition.
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks using proper safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment.
- Maintain safety protocols by following established procedures for chemical use, equipment operation, and workplace safety standards.
- Support customer service efforts by ensuring the environment is clean, safe, and welcoming for visitors and staff.
- Washing and cleaning new vehicles.
- Driving, making part runs, fueling vehicles, picking and dropping off customers.
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred; familiarity with commercial cleaning is a plus.
- Experience with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and other custodial tools.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and chemical handling safety procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards customer service.
