Our programs are grounded in a person-centered philosophy, meeting each individual where they are and supporting them toward greater independence at every stage of life.

The Role

Vista is seeking a Program Instructor in our Discover Program to implement curriculum-based lessons, facilitate groups, evaluate student progress, and communicate outcomes related to functional skills and systems that support students’ independent living needs.

This position requires flexibility, strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to respond effectively to a variety of situations while maintaining a person-centered, strengths-based approach.

What You’ll Do

Follow and implement individualized strategies to help students gain independence in life skills, community integration, and social/cognitive areas.
Work directly with students to implement curriculum and facilitate groups using a variety of instructional methods.
Implement multimodal curriculum addressing targeted functional skills.
Evaluate student progress and provide appropriate training interventions.
Utilize technology for instruction, communication, and administrative purposes.
Transport students and members in either personal or Vista vehicles to community sites in a variety of settings and weather conditions.

What We’re Looking For

High School diploma plus 1 year of related experience.
Valid driver’s license and maintain acceptable safe driving record as defined by Vista.
Possess Public Service License or the ability to obtain endorsement within 90 days of hire.
CPR and First Aid, PMT certification or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Knowledge and skills in MS Office, including outlook and the internet.
