Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management strategies. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive curricula aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and respect among children
- Plan and execute engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning needs, including toddlers and preschool-aged children
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques
- Collaborate with families to support child welfare and developmental progress through regular communication
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention practices to support children with additional needs
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental milestones and learning outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation of children's progress in accordance with mandated reporting laws
- Support classroom activities such as storytime, arts and crafts, physical education, and outdoor play
- Ensure compliance with childcare regulations and health & safety standards at all times
Experience
Candidates should possess a minimum of two years of teaching experience working with young children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, or private schools. Experience in curriculum development, classroom management, and childhood development instruction is essential. Familiarity with Montessori or other specialized educational approaches is a plus. Prior involvement in early intervention programs or special education services will be viewed favorably. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and families.
Additional qualifications include:
- Proven experience in preschool teaching or toddler care roles
- Knowledge of early childhood development theories and best practices
- Proficiency in lesson planning tailored to developmental stages
- Experience with classroom experience management tools and standardized testing procedures
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs across different age groups
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments that respect cultural diversity

Pay: $23.74 - $28.50 per hour
