Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Podiatrist, where you will play a vital role in diagnosing, treating, and managing foot and ankle conditions. This energetic position offers the opportunity to deliver comprehensive podiatric care, utilizing advanced medical imaging, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and innovative treatment techniques. As a key member of our team, you will help improve patient's mobility and quality of life through expert assessments and personalized treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history review, physical examinations, and assessment of foot and ankle conditions
- Utilize medical imaging tools such as X-rays to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans encompassing surgical procedures, wound care, orthotics, and medication management
- Perform minor surgical procedures including nail removal and other podiatric interventions
- Educate patients on foot health, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment rehabilitation to promote long-term wellness
- Manage patient records efficiently using EHR systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including orthopedists, radiologists, physical therapists, and primary care providers to optimize patient outcomes
Requirements
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure or certification to practice podiatry {Kansas}
- Proven experience with medical imaging techniques relevant to podiatry such as X-ray interpretation
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Practice Fusion or similar platforms for documentation and patient management
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and common foot and ankle conditions
- Ability to perform minor surgical procedures including nail removal, tenotomy, exostectomy, etc. with aseptic technique
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and coordinate with healthcare teams
Preferred qualifications include experience in outpatient settings and proficiency in health coaching or patient education strategies. Candidates with additional expertise in specialized areas such as diabetic foot care, sports medicine related to orthopedics, or wound management are highly valued. Pay: $150,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
