Title: X-Ray / FPI Level 2 Technician
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm
Department: NDT
Reports to: NDT Manager
Consults with: NDT Department
Overall Responsibility: Non Destructive Testing – Film and Digital Radiography (DR) Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI)
Progression:
Successfully pass level II examination to NAS 410 and Yankee Casting requirements
Responsibilities:
Digital X-Ray
- Process parts through X-ray inspection
- Inspect film and or digital images to the customer acceptance criteria with oversight by NDT Manager (When Required)
- Blend or prep for weld defect areas
- Certify parts
FPI
- Process parts through FPI line
- Inspect parts to customer acceptance criteria with oversight by NDT Manager (When Required)
- Blend or prep for weld defect areas
- Certify parts
Required Skills:
- Ability to follow instructions
- Comprehend process sheets
- Ability to interpret casting acceptance criteria
- Proper use of safety equipment
- Ability to grind castings neatly and accurately
- Proper maintenance of air tools
- Ability to fill out paperwork correctly IE. Counts/signature
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Good computer skills

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
