Job Overview
Meramec Dermatology is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining a supportive and positive work environment. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Surgical Assistant to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients, record vital signs, gather medical history, and document details in our electronic medical record system
- Prepare treatment rooms for exams and surgical procedures
- Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment
- Administer injections, medications, or other treatments under physician supervision
- Assist physicians during surgical procedures
- Capture clinical photographs as instructed
- Communicate with patients about their care in person, over the phone, and through our electronic medical record system
- Provide compassionate care and respectful communication to patients and team members
- Assist with prior authorizations and additional paperwork
- Manage medical supply inventory and restock as needed
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
- Perform other duties as needed to support the office
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting (dermatology experience is a plus, but not required)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Basic understanding of patient care, medical terminology, and procedures
- Reliable, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Proficient with computers, tablets, and electronic medical record systems
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and openness to feedback
Schedule
- Our office hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30AM-4:30PM

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
