Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist with food preparation according to established recipes and safety standards
- Serve meals to guests efficiently, ensuring proper presentation and timely delivery
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas through regular cleaning and sanitation practices
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives, slicers, ovens, and other appliances
- Follow food safety protocols for handling, storage, and serving to prevent contamination
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and service needs
- Assist with menu planning and portion control to ensure consistency and quality in food offerings
Requirements
- Prior experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or food service environments preferred
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Skills in food preparation, cooking, slicing techniques, and recipe adherence
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Experience with meal preparation for catering or restaurant settings is a plus
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff and serve guests effectively
- Kitchen experience in the food industry or culinary background is highly desirable
- Ability to follow safety standards in production while maintaining high-quality food presentation
