Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Senior Preschool Teacher to join our team. In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula, and nurture the social-emotional development of young children. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire a love of learning while ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for preschoolers.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective behavior management and classroom management techniques
- Support child development through individualized instruction in areas such as language acquisition, social skills, and early intervention strategies
- Communicate regularly with parents to share progress, address concerns, and promote active involvement in their child's learning journey
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of child welfare and incident reports
- Incorporate curriculum development practices that emphasize childhood development principles and standardized testing when applicable
- Lead activities that promote physical activity, creativity, and social interaction among preschool children
Skills
- Extensive experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education theories, including Montessori methods and childhood development stages
- Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
- Experience with special education needs and early intervention programs
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration
- Ability to manage behavior constructively while fostering a nurturing environment
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws, child welfare policies, First Aid, and CPR certifications
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and literacy education strategies
- Experience teaching physical education activities suitable for young children
- Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learners and developmental levels
