Do you love fashion? Have experience in fashion luxury retail sales? Multi-unit practice in the New Orleans area offering eyewear for all ages, brands like Tiffany, Chanel, Cartier, LA Eyeworks and More!
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable salesperson/optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in optical retail, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service and expert advice on eyewear selection. As an optical salesperson, you will play a crucial role in helping patients achieve optimal vision while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Duties
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their prescription and personal style preferences.
- Perform fittings and adjustments of eyeglasses and contact lenses to ensure proper fit and comfort.
- Educate patients on the proper care and use of their eyewear products.
- Maintain accurate patient records while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Process orders for eyewear, including managing inventory and coordinating with suppliers.
- Handle medical billing processes as necessary, ensuring accuracy in transactions.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology to better assist customers.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or optical environments is preferred, with a strong understanding of retail math principles.
- Familiarity with ophthalmology practices, pediatric care, or laboratory procedures is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage customer relationships effectively while achieving sales goals.
- Knowledge of medical billing procedures is advantageous for handling insurance claims efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with patients and team members alike.
