Group Assistant (Contract)

Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive administrative professional to provide comprehensive team support within a fast-paced, customer-facing engineering organization. This is a full-time, fully onsite role based in Redmond, Washington, operating Monday through Friday with occasional overtime. The position serves as critical coverage for an existing team member on leave while also contributing to ongoing operational and administrative functions across a collaborative, high-performing team. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in administrative operations, exceptional organizational skills, and a genuine commitment to supporting team success through both routine and dynamic responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day administrative support to a large team within a fast-paced engineering environment
Coordinate team events, morale initiatives, and logistics for meetings and group activities
Manage space planning and office operations including supply ordering, procurement, and snack replenishment
Support device management activities including SAW device tracking and coordination
Manage alias and distribution group memberships (GMMs) and related administrative tasks
Assist with expense reporting and financial operations support
Coordinate travel arrangements and scheduling logistics as needed
Support basic calendar management and meeting coordination
Enforce team policies and procedures and ensure operational consistency
Complete special projects and ad hoc administrative tasks as assigned
Serve as a point of contact for team operational needs and general inquiries
Requirements:
2 to 4 years of administrative assistant experience in a fast-paced professional environment
Demonstrated experience supporting teams with morale programs, space management, and team events
Prior experience working within or supporting large, collaborative engineering or technology organizations preferred
Previous experience with Microsoft internal tools and systems strongly preferred
Demonstrated proficiency with current versions of Microsoft Office applications
Strong administrative operations and team support capabilities
Event, meeting, and logistics coordination experience
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
Experience with alias and distribution group management (GMMs)
Expense management and expense reporting experience
Supply ordering, procurement, and general office operations experience
Device management and operational support experience
Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple administrative responsibilities simultaneously
Experience supporting customer-facing or highly collaborative teams
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs as needed for office and supply management tasks
Additional Details:
Location: Redmond, WA (Onsite)
Duration: 3 months
Pay Range*: $27 - $30.50 per hour
Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
Job Status: Non-Exempt
