As a caregiver at Visiting Angels, your primary responsibility will be to provide personalized and compassionate care to clients in their own homes. Here is a general description of the caregiver job at Visiting Angels:
1. Personal Care: Assisting clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
2. Medication Reminders: Ensuring clients take their medications as prescribed and keeping track of medication schedules.
3. Mobility Assistance: Assisting clients with walking, transferring, and using mobility aids.
4. Meal Preparation: Planning and preparing nutritious meals for clients, taking into consideration any dietary restrictions or preferences.
5. Light Housekeeping: Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying up, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for the client.
6. Companionship: Engaging in meaningful conversations, providing emotional support, and participating in activities with clients to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
7. Transportation: Assisting clients with transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, errands, and other outings as needed.
8. Documenting Care: Maintaining accurate and detailed records of the care provided, including any changes in the client's condition and any incidents or concerns.
9. Communication: Collaborating with the client's family, healthcare professionals, and the Visiting Angels team to ensure the client's needs are met and any concerns or updates are communicated effectively.
10. Flexibility: Being available for different shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per the client's needs and the scheduling requirements.
