The Department of Chemistry & Physics at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke invites applications for a full-time, one-year Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Lecturer position beginning August 2026. Rank and title will be determined by the highest degree held.

Position Responsibilities
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate education and will primarily teach general chemistry lecture and/or laboratory courses, with the possibility of teaching advanced courses aligned with the candidate’s expertise.
Qualifications
Required
- M.S. in Chemistry conferred by the start of the appointment (Candidates with an M.S. will be appointed as Visiting Lecturer)
Preferred
- Ph.D. in Chemistry (Candidates with a Ph.D. will be appointed as Visiting Assistant Professor)
- Prior undergraduate teaching experience
- Ability to teach Forensic Chemistry lecture and laboratory courses
