Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Company Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating semi trucks to transport freight efficiently and securely across designated routes. Responsibilities
- Safely operate trucks, including tractor-trailers, dry vans, and refrigerated trailers.
- Drive route-specific deliveries with precision, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations to ensure on-time arrivals.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols and comply with federal, state, and local transportation regulations at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a solid track record in freight delivery.
- Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and various trailer types such as refrigerated and dry van trailer.
- Experience in route driving with a focus on load & unload procedures across diverse cargo types.
- Strong understanding of transportation safety standards and compliance requirements for commercial drivers.
- Prior experience handling freight that involves different configurations like tanker loads or refrigerated goods is preferred.
