Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and patient-focused Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing primary care and women’s health practice. This role emphasizes comprehensive, relationship-based care with a strong focus on preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and hormonal health.
The ideal candidate is comfortable managing a broad spectrum of primary care conditions and women’s health needs, with a willingness to develop or expand procedural skills, including in-office injections such as nerve blocks, trigger point injections, and hyaluronic acid (HA) joint injections.
This position offers the opportunity to integrate traditional primary care with select advanced therapies in a supportive, team-based environment.
Key Responsibilities Primary Care Services
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including history, physical exams, and diagnostic interpretation
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with state regulations
- Provide preventative care, health maintenance, and patient education
- Build long-term patient relationships with a focus on continuity of care
Women’s Health
- Provide comprehensive women’s health services, including routine exams and preventative screenings
- Evaluate and manage hormonal conditions
- Initiate and manage hormone replacement therapy (HRT) as appropriate
- Educate patients on hormonal health, wellness, and treatment options
- Support patients through various stages of life, including perimenopause and menopause
Procedural & Injection-Based Care (Training Supported)
- Evaluate patients for musculoskeletal and neuropathic pain conditions
- Perform or be willing to learn in-office procedures, including:
- Nerve block injections
- Trigger point injections
- Hyaluronic acid (HA) knee injections
- Develop individualized, non-opioid pain management strategies
- Participate in ongoing training for procedural skill development
Metabolic & Preventative Health
- Support medically supervised weight management programs
- Provide counseling on nutrition, lifestyle, and long-term health optimization
- Prescribe pharmacologic therapies when appropriate
- Incorporate preventative and wellness-focused strategies into patient care
Collaborative Care
- Coordinate care with supervising physician and clinical team
- Collaborate with ancillary services including physical therapy and specialty referrals
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in EMR
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted NP or PA license in the state of Texas
- Board certification (NP: AANP/ANCC; PA: NCCPA)
- DEA license (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred (primary care or women’s health strongly preferred)
- Experience with eCW (eClinicalWorks preferred)
- Interest in procedural skills; prior injection experience preferred but not required
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
- Experience in hormone replacement therapy (HRT)
- Background in primary care, women’s health, or outpatient medicine
- Exposure to musculoskeletal care or interventional techniques
- Interest in preventative, functional, or integrative medicine
