Job Summary
Beloit Auction & Realty is seeking a dependable, hardworking individual to join our growing team. This position involves packing, moving, loading, transporting, organizing, operating machinery, and handling a wide variety of residential, commercial, industrial, and estate assets.
Every day is different. One day you may be helping pack an estate, the next you may be moving industrial equipment, setting up an auction, unloading a shipping container, or assisting customers during pickup. Mechanical aptitude and experience working with equipment are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Pack, wrap, and prepare items for safe transportation.
- Load and unload furniture, equipment, boxes, machinery, and other assets.
- Assist with residential, commercial, industrial, and estate cleanouts.
- Safely transport assets between customer locations and our auction facilities.
- Organize and stage merchandise for auction setup.
- Assist with auction previews and customer pickup days.
- Operate dollies, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other moving equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.
- Provide outstanding customer service throughout every project.
Qualifications
- Ability to repeatedly lift 75+ pounds, with assistance when appropriate.
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work throughout the day.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Experience operating pallet jacks and moving equipment.
- Experience operating forklifts, skid steers, scissor lifts, boom lifts, or other material-handling equipment is highly preferred.
- Experience moving machinery or commercial equipment is a plus.
- Warehouse, moving, construction, or logistics experience is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is preferred.
- Ability to drive a 16- to 26-foot box truck is a plus but not required.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
