Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience driving a manual transmission, top heavy equipment, and flatbeds. As a driver, you will also play a vital role in the extraction process, utilizing various tools and equipment to extract and process cable. This position requires heavy lifting and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. We work in all weather conditions.
This role involves extra safety while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Operate a Chopper truck and Class B flatbed.
- Operating heavy equipment.
- Participate in extracting telephone cable from underground and aerial.
- Performing traffic control; setting out cones and signs daily at each job location.
- Utilize forklifts for the movement of materials within the warehouse and manufacturing facility.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise, reporting any significant problems to supervisors.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 for insurance purposes.
- A clean background is preferred.
- Experience with manual transmission vehicles.
- Familiarity with flatbeds, top heavy vehicles, tankers, and various freight types is advantageous.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other loading equipment as needed or willing to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
- Must be able to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
