Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Travel Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services in a hospital-based radiology environment. The technologist will perform ultrasound examinations, obtain high-quality diagnostic images, ensure patient safety and comfort, and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound and sonographic examinations according to physician orders and department protocols.
- Operate ultrasound equipment and obtain high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain examinations, and provide appropriate care throughout the imaging process.
- Verify patient information, clinical history, and examination orders prior to procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of completed examinations.
- Ensure proper patient identification, positioning, safety, and privacy.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow infection-control, radiation/imaging safety, and hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and report equipment issues or malfunctions.
- Demonstrate flexibility to support facility staffing needs, including floating to designated units when required.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer experience
- Recent clinical experience in diagnostic ultrasound
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Strong patient-care, communication, and documentation skills
- Must be willing to work the assigned night schedule, weekends, and rotating holidays
- Must comply with all facility and traveler requirements
Experience:
- Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer: 1 year (Required)
- Recent clinical in diagnostic ultrasound: 1 year (Required)
