Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing diagnostic evaluations, and providing treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Conduct physical examinations and health assessments
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor and document patient progress, symptoms, and vital signs
- Administer IV infusions and manage IV lines
- Assist with acute pain management and wound care
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures, medications, and self-care techniques
- Coordinate and provide care in various settings such as hospitals, clinics, home care, occupational health, and senior care facilities
- Utilize electronic medical record systems (e.g., Cerner) to document patient information accurately
Skills:
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Knowledge of nursing principles and practices
- Proficiency in performing physical examinations and assessments
- Experience in administering medications and IV infusions
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining patient confidentiality
- Attention to detail for accurate documentation and medication administration
- Flexibility to work in various healthcare settings
