Job Summary
Industrial Power Solutions, a Sundt Company, is a leading electrical manufacturing and automation solutions provider specializing in custom control panels, power distribution equipment, and engineered electrical systems for a wide range of industrial applications. We are seeking an Entry-Level CAD Designer to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to launch a career in electrical design and manufacturing. Little to no experience is required we're looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in technology and electrical systems. Our experienced engineers and designers will provide hands-on training and mentorship while you work on real-world projects and develop valuable technical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain positive working relationships with engineers, designers, manufacturing personnel, and project teams.
- Produce high-quality work accurately and efficiently at all times.
- Assist with developing electrical drawings using CAD software for electrical manufacturing projects.
- Support engineers and designers with layouts, details, bills of material, and manufacturing documentation.
- Revise drawings based on engineering markups and project requirements.
- Follow company drafting standards, manufacturing specifications, and quality requirements.
- Continuously develop CAD, electrical design, and manufacturing knowledge through training and hands-on experience.
Minimum Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous CAD experience is not required; a good attitude and the ability to adapt and learn is most important.
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn CAD software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated desire to learn, grow professionally, and accept coaching and mentorship.

Physical Requirements
- Work may involve extended periods at a workstation using computer-aided design software.
- Must be able to sit, stand, and move throughout the office and manufacturing facility as needed.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment when entering the manufacturing area is required.
