We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the accounting and financial operations for two growing manufacturing companies. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, supporting strategic decision-making, and helping drive operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position works closely with ownership and department leaders to provide meaningful financial insights that support continued growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day accounting functions for two manufacturing companies.
- Maintain accurate general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support to outside payroll service, and cash flow.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Track manufacturing costs, inventory, and job costing.
- Coordinate with outside CPA for tax preparation and annual financial reporting.
- Monitor fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Develop and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Support audits and provide financial information as requested.
- Generate financial reports and work closely with owners for budgeting and forecasting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Required experience with EITHER QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop.
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting, job costing, and manufacturing financials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

- Manufacturing, or industrial accounting.
- Multi-company OR multi-division accounting.
- Budget development and financial forecasting.
- Process improvement and internal controls.
