We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician specializing in access control, CCTV, and security systems. Duties
- Install, configure, and service access control systems, CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and other low voltage security equipment.
- Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install wiring and components according to industry standards such as NEC (National Electrical Code).
- Troubleshoot equipment issues related to sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), security hardware, and network connectivity using remote access software and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on surveillance cameras, sensors, fire alarms, and alarm & access control systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to incorporate low voltage wiring and system design specifications.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform cabling tasks, equipment mounting, and system adjustments.
- Provide technical troubleshooting support for system failures or malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.
Experience
- Proven service technician experience working with low voltage security systems including CCTV, access control, alarms, and surveillance equipment.
- Strong computer networking knowledge with the ability to configure networked security devices and remote access software.
- Mechanical knowledge related to cabling installation, electrical blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction experience preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical experience including wiring standards such as NEC regulations.
- Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting across a variety of security hardware components.
- Knowledge of telecommunication systems and locksmithing is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and apply system design principles effectively in field settings.

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
