Day Shift Nurse (RN or LVN) – Eating Disorder Treatment Center
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse to join our team at our Eating Disorder Solutions in Weatherford. In this role, you will provide direct medical care to clients in a residential behavioral health setting, supporting individuals receiving treatment for eating disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, and substance use. This is a meaningful opportunity to deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care during daytime hours as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
Job Summary
The Nurse (RN or LVN) is responsible for providing direct medical care to clients in a residential eating disorder and behavioral health treatment setting. This includes conducting comprehensive assessments, administering medications, documenting services, monitoring vitals and physical status, and responding to medical needs or emergencies. The Nurse supports medical stabilization, nutritional rehabilitation, detox services, medication-assisted treatment, and daily wellness monitoring for clients with eating disorders, mental health conditions, and substance use disorders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, or facility EMR).
- Administer medications and, where applicable, injections and IV infusions accurately, in accordance with physician orders, facility protocols, and sterile technique standards.
- Monitor clients' vital signs, weight, and physical/medical status, documenting all findings and observing for signs of malnutrition, refeeding complications, withdrawal, distress, or changes in condition.
- Conduct nursing assessments specific to eating disorder care, including monitoring for medical complications related to restriction, purging, or nutritional rehabilitation.
- Respond to medical incidents and emergencies, escalating appropriately and coordinating with on-call physicians or emergency services as needed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team (physicians, therapists, dietitians, and case managers) on care planning for clients with complex, co-occurring presentations.
- Support infection control measures and safe use of medical equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and HIPAA-compliant documentation and confidentiality of all medical records.
Qualifications
- Current, active LVN or RN license in the state of Texas.
- 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred; experience in behavioral health, eating disorder treatment, or addiction medicine highly desirable.
- Current CPR/BLS certification required.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and diagnostic/assessment procedures.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and nursing documentation standards.
- Skilled in medication administration, vital sign assessment, and physical examination.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow medical protocols precisely.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Facility-based role requiring movement throughout residential and medical spaces.
- Requires standing, walking, lifting up to 30 lbs, and assisting with emergencies.
- Daytime shift; occasional weekend or holiday coverage may be required.
Schedule
- Day Shift: 6:30am – 6:30pm
- 12-hour shifts
- Rotating Shifts with weekends
Job Type: Full-time; non-exempt
Pay Range: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour
Work Location: In person (Weatherford, TX)
FLSA Classification: Non-exempt; eligible for overtime under federal and state wage and hour laws.
