Job Description
The Therapist or counselor will provide services to clients who need mental health services in a outpatinat therapeutic setting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide counseling sessions to clients as per recommended frequency.
- Maintain appropriate documentation in a timely and organized fashion.
- Provide appropriate evaluations as needed.
- Identify and provide emergency crisis services as necessary or coordinate other services as appropriate.
- Provide and arrange therapeutic interventions for clients in a crisis condition.
- Participate in agency training as required.
- Attend all scheduled supervision meetings.
- Follow all agency policies and procedures.
- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to apply mental health counseling methods and techniques.
- Knowledge and understanding of clinical counseling principles, crisis intervention and techniques.
- Appropriate EMR computer literacy.
- Fluently Bilingual in English and Spanish (mustly speak English)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be Florida board licensed or Registered Intern: Mental Health, or Clinical Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist.
- Master's degree from an accredited university or college with a major in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related Human Services field.
- Is a plus if is Bilingual in English and Spanish.
